At the 70th National Film Awards held on Tuesday in New Delhi, filmmakers Karan Johar, Ayan Mukerji, and Sooraj Barjatya teamed up with actors Mithun Chakraborty, Neena Gupta, and Rishab Shetty to proudly sing the National Anthem. The ceremony took place at Vigyan Bhavan, where the esteemed President of India, Droupadi Murmu, presented the prestigious awards to the winners.

The ceremony began with brief clips showcasing this year’s winning films, including Aattam, Kantara, KGF: Chapter 2, and Brahmastra.Following the recognition, winners and attendees stood to sing the National Anthem. The camera captured Karan Johar, Ayan Mukerji, Mithun Chakraborty, Mani Ratnam, and other celebrities from various film industries joining the choir on stage.
Karan Johar attended the 70th National Film Awards on Tuesday to represent Brahmastra as its producer. The film won two awards: Best Male Playback for Arijit Singh and Best Film in AVGC. On the red carpet, Karan praised Ayan Mukerji for the achievement, stating, “I’m truly honoured and humbled to be here. I can’t take credit for the special VFX; it’s Ayan Mukerji’s vision and effort. This project is his brainchild, and I’m simply here to support my team with gratitude.”
Rishab Shetty received the Best Actor Award for Kantara, which also won the award for Best Feature Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. The Malayalam film Aattam was honored as Best Picture, while Sooraj Barjatya took home the Best Director Award for Uunchai. The Best Actress Award was jointly awarded to Nithya Menen for Tiruchitrabalam and Manasi Parekh for her role in Kutch Express.
