Munjya Box Office: Abhay Verma and Sharvari starrer crosses the 70 crore mark | Hindi Movie News Filmymeet

Abhay Verma, Mona Singh and Sharvari starrer Munjya is just carrying forward its amazing run at the box office even in the third week. The film which is based on a Maharashtrian folklore, has injected a new life into the box office which has been struggling over the past few weeks. The film in the third week, has crossed the Rs 70 crore mark, making it one of the biggest hits of the year after Article 370, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Crew, Shaitaan and Fighter.

The film earned Rs 67.95 crore in two weeks, despite facing competition from Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor starrer Mr and Mr Mahi in the first week, and Kartik Aaryan’s Chandu Champion in the second. The film also entered the third week on a good note, as it earned Rs 2.75 crore which is a 10 % jump from its Thursday collection of Rs 2.5 crore, thus taking the total collection of the film to Rs 70.70 crore.
Munjya’s performance in the third week was also very dependent on how the audience responds to this week’s release Ishq Vishq Rebound. And going by day 1 numbers of the young romantic film, it is safe to say that Munjya is most likely going to be the winner once again. The film is now aiming to reach a Rs 80 crore collection in the week.
