In an exciting development, Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna have been roped in to play the lead roles in the upcoming horror comedy film ‘Vampires of Vijay Nagar‘, reports Pinkvilla.‘Munjya’ director Aditya Satpodar has been roped in for this project which will reportedly go on floors in November and will be a part of producer Dinesh Vijan’s horror comedy universe. Ayushmann and Dinesh Vijan have previously collaborated on the hit film ‘Bala’ and have been reportedly in talks for ‘Vampires of Vijay Nagar’ for some time now. It will also be the first time that Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna will be sharing the screen together and the duo will reportedly have distinct character graphs.
According to the report, the script for ‘Vampires of Vijay Nagar’ is currently in the writing stage and will soon move into the pre-production phase. Earlier, there were speculations that Samantha Ruth Prabhu might be roped in as the female lead opposite Ayushmann, but now Rashmika Mandanna has bagged the coveted role.
Currently, Ayushmann Khurrana is set to complete filming for a spy comedy produced by Karan Johar, post which he will shoot for ‘Border 2’, which is helmed by Anurag Singh. Meanwhile, Rashmika Mandanna has her hands busy with ‘Pushpa 2’ alongside Allu Arjun and ‘Sikandar’ with Salman Khan, post which she will transition into this horror comedy project.
With the talented duo of Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna headlining the film and Dinesh Vijan’s horror comedy universe backing it, ‘Vampires of Vijay Nagar’ is sure to generate a lot of excitement amongst the audience
