Actor-dancer Raghav Juyal has been making waves in Bollywood with his versatile performances, transitioning from dancing reality shows to films like ABCD, Nawabzaade and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and his latest acclaimed performance in Kill. However, Juyal recently revealed that one of his most cherished memories was attending Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday party and partying with the superstar until 6 am.
In a conversation with Jist, Juyal shared that when Khan invited him to the party, he was thrilled as it was a dream come true. “I attended Shah Rukh Khan sir’s birthday. Unhone ne bulaya main kaise nahin jaunga? Wahan toh main subah 6 baje tak ruka hoon”.
Juyal stayed until the end to fulfill his dream of seeing off SRK personally. “Mera sapna tha ki main Shah Rukh sir ko gaadi tak chodoon. 6 baje tak ruka main.. main aur mera dost Ishaan. Woh hamari zindagi ka sabse yaadgar moment hai. Main end tak ruka aur sir ko choda. Ek sapna pura hogaya Mumbai aake,” he recalled
The actor joked that he felt like the king of Mumbai, just like Bhiku Mhatre in the film Satya, after partying with Khan. Juyal also got lucky at the party when he met actress Rani Mukherji and danced with her to a song from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
The Kill actor also had the opportunity to meet cricketing legend MS Dhoni at the party. “I also bumped into Dhoni Bhaiya (MS Dhoni). I don’t follow cricket but I am his huge fan and I just watch his Reels. He teaches you thehrao, patience and leadership qualities which are attributes I need in life,” he said. The two bonded over their Dehradun connection, as Dhoni’s wife is also from the same city.
Juyal’s co-star in the film Kill, Laksh Lalwani, also joined him in partying with SRK “Shah Rukh sir will make sure that he makes you feel special. If there are 100 people in the room, he can make them feel that they are all special, such is his aura,” Juyal remarked.
The actor also drew parallels between his own journey and that of Shah Rukh Khan, noting that King Khan too started his career with negative roles. Juyal himself has another antagonist role lined up in Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s production Yudhra, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Malvika Mohanan.
In an interview with ETimes, Juyal revealed that he had to enter the movie business through auditions, as he didn’t have any launchpad or privileges. “Mujhe hero vero ke role mil nahi raha tha .. I didn’t have anything like a launchpad. I had to enter movies through auditions only, and I got both Kill and Yudhra through auditions,” he said.
Juyal emphasized that there was no specific plan to only play negative roles. “So, there was no plan as such to only play negative , I’m not that privileged that I will do only this film, or work with only Yashraj etc ..apne ko masdoori karke hi aage badhna hai,” he stated.
The actor expressed his happiness at sharing a connection with Shah Rukh Khan, as both began their movie careers with villain roles. “Also I’m very happy that even Shah Rukh Khan entered movies with villain roles at the start of his career like me.”
