Ravi Shastri has been one of the most flamboyant cricketers in the world and his charm worked not only on the field but also off the field. In a video doing the rounds of the internet, he is seen talking about his actress-girlfriend Amrita Singh. Back in the 80s their relationship was the talk of the town and there were even talks about their engagement but soon after they parted ways.
In the throwback video, Shastri recalled one of his most embarrassing moments and he said, “When I first met my girlfriend, Amrita Singh—you might know her from films—it was at a restaurant in Mumbai. For the first ten minutes, I didn’t say a word. I always knew I was shy around girls, but I didn’t expect to be completely speechless. She kept talking for the entire ten minutes. It was one of my most embarrassing moments.”
After they parted ways, Amrita tied the knot with Saif Ali Khan and has two kids Sara and Ibrahim. They parted ways in 2004. Amrita Singh was last seen in Heropanti 2 with Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria. The actress, who is known for her films like Aaina, Chameli Ki Shaadi and many more, had taken a break from her acting career post her marriage to Saif and returned to films only after their divorce. Since then, she has worked in films like Badla, 2 States and tv show KKavyanjali. Saif Ali Khan is now married to Kareena Kapoor and they have two sons Taimur and Jeh.
