Adah Sharma clarifies that she has rented the house Sushant Singh Rajput lived in: 'The Rs 300 crore from The Kerala Story is not mine' | Hindi Movie News Filmymeet

Adah Sharma has been in the spotlight due to her renting the Bandra apartment previously occupied by Sushant Singh Rajput before his tragic death in June 2020. The actress signed the lease for the apartment in October 2023 and moved in with her mother and grandmother earlier this year.
At a press conference on Monday, Adah, who is currently working with Vikram Bhatt, clarified that she rented the apartment and shared the rent with her grandmother. She mentioned, “The house I’ve rented is not mine. The Rs 300 crore from The Kerala Story is not mine, so I’m living on rent. It’s not just me contributing to the rent; my grandmother also helps with it. She said, since I’m living there too, I should contribute to the rent. My mother, who is not working, does not contribute financially but cooks food. Actually, the house doesn’t belong to me; it belongs to Mr Lalwani, who I think is currently in South Africa. I believe Sushant also lived there on rent; it wasn’t his property either, but the house belongs to Mr Lalwani.”
In a previous interview with Bombay Times, Adah shared that she had moved into the flat (Mont Blanc Apartments, Bandra) about four months ago but was busy with promotions for her projects, including Bastar and the OTT release of The Kerala Story. She also spent some time at an elephant sanctuary in Mathura before settling into her new home.

Adah had explained, “I have lived in the same house at Pali Hill (Bandra) all my life and this is the first time I’ve moved out of there. I’m very sensitive to vibes, and this place gives me positive ones. Our homes in Kerala and Mumbai have been surrounded by trees and we used to feed birds and squirrels. So, I wanted a home with a view and ample space to feed birds.”

Adah is also set to star in Tumko Meri Kasam, a biopic about Dr Ajay Murdia, founder of Indira IVF. The film explores the dramatic and emotional journey of Dr Murdia’s life, filled with betrayal, ambition, and love. Adah will play Indira, the supportive wife, alongside Ishwak Singh and Anupam Kher.
