Akshay Kumar, one of the busiest actors in the industry, has been continuously working on multiple films. Now, as per the latest report by Mid-day, the ‘Khiladi’ actor who was recently seen in ‘Khel Khel Mein‘, is set to collaborate with Priyadarshan for an upcoming horror-comedy.
According to a report, Akshay Kumar, who celebrates his birthday on September 9, has a special surprise for his fans: a motion poster release.This one-minute teaser will not only unveil the much-anticipated title of the film, but also give a sneak peek at Kumar’s character.
Priyadarshan has been working diligently to bring this project to life, and the director recently travelled to Mumbai to finalize the motion poster, the report added.
Recently, during his conversation with Hindustan Times, Priyadarshan revealed that he is starting work on a horror fantasy film with Akshay Kumar, produced by Ekta Kapoor, which will incorporate elements of humour. He shared that after completing his docu-series on the history of the Ram Mandir, his most significant upcoming project is this film with Akshay, produced by Ekta Kapoor.
The filmmaker also expressed his pleasure in collaborating with Akshay Kumar, noting that their projects together have always turned out well, because Kumar handles emotions so effectively. Priyadarshan added that he had been waiting for the right subject to work with Akshay again, and he believes this film is the perfect opportunity.
On the work front, Akshay was last seen in the comedy film Khel Khel Mein, where he portrayed the character Rishabh Malik.
Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the comedy film starred Vaani Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Ammy Virk and Taapsee Pannu in lead roles. The film was released on August 15, 2024.
