J-Hope, the much loved dancer of the globally acclaimed K-pop group BTS, has recently made waves with his latest real estate ventures, catching the public’s attention with the acquisition of two opulent apartments in Seoul. This development highlights the artist’s continued expansion into notable real estate investments, totaling an impressive 20 billion KRW.
On September 3, 2024, a South Korean news outlet reported that J-Hope had purchased a luxurious penthouse priced at 12 billion KRW in a prestigious Seoul apartment complex. Reportedly, he settled the entire payment in cash. In addition to this penthouse, J-Hope also acquired another unit located directly below it. The purchase of this lower unit was finalized in July 2024, though the contract for it was originally signed in 2020. Both apartments in this high-end complex are now valued at approximately 11 to 12 billion KRW each.
The speculation surrounding this substantial investment suggests that J-Hope paid the total amount of 20 billion KRW in cash, as there have been no reports of him taking out mortgage loans. This acquisition further adds to his growing portfolio, bringing his total number of luxury properties to four.
Meanwhile, J-Hope, who began his mandatory military service on April 18, 2023, is currently stationed at the Baekho Recruit Training Center within the 36th Infantry Division of the Army, where he serves as a training assistant. He is slated to complete his service and be discharged on October 17, 2024. Since his debut with BTS in 2013, alongside fellow members RM, Jin, V, Jungkook, Suga, and Jimin, J-Hope has remained a prominent figure in the K-pop industry.
Beyond his work with BTS, J-Hope has also pursued a successful solo career. He made his solo debut in 2022 with the album ‘Jack in the Box’, which included popular singles like ‘Arson’ and ‘MORE’. Fans are eagerly awaiting his return to the music scene, anticipating new releases and projects following his discharge from military service.
