Ahead of the 2024 IIFA Awards, Janhvi Kapoor’s BTS rehearsal video of her performance had gone viral. The BTS video upped the ante and left fans excited about her performance. At the 2024 IIFA Awards, the actor made a spectacular debut as she delivered an electrifying performance where she danced to her song Nadiyon Paar among other hits.
In a video shared by IIFA on their official Instagram handle, Janhvi Kapoor can be seen stealing the show as she recreated her steps from Nadiyon Paar at Yas Island. The actor was dressed in a blue sequined blouse and lehenga as she nailed every move and owned the stage. Sharing the video, IIFA wrote, “The ravishing Janhvi Kapoor delivers a show-stopping performance with her spectacular debut at the NEXA IIFA Awards 2024!”
Another video from the performance shows the actor dancing on Oo Antava. She gracefully nailed Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s steps in her signature style and left the audience entertained. She also danced on songs from her latest release- Devara: Part 1.
While one section of the audience loved her performance, many compared her moves to Nora Fatehi. A user wrote, “She can’t even match Nora’s energy.” Another user said, “Everyone dancing like Nora.” While a third user commented, “All Bollywood started to copy Nora.”
The IIFA gala kickstarted on September 27 with the IIFA Utsavam which was dedicated to the South Indian film industry. That was followed by the IIFA Awards which was dedicated to Bollywood. The event was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan, Vicky Kaushal, and Karan Johar. On the work front, she was last seen in Devara: Part 1 along with Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan. She will be next seen in Shashank Khaitan’s Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari where she will share the screen with Varun Dhawan.
