Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan celebrate their anniversary today. They tied the knot on October 16, 2012 and their first child was born in 2016. As they named im Taimur, there was a huge controversy surrounding it as people assumed that it was taken from the Turkish invader Timur. In a recent interview, Kareena has opened up on it and said that Taimur doesn’t even know about so much that happened around his name.The actress added that he also got a lot of love though.
“My grandfather told me that the fact that they are talking about you, good or bad, they’re talking about you. OTherwise why would they talk. You have to take it in your stride if you want to be a superstar otherwise they wouldn’t even be talking about you,” said Kareena in a chat with Miss Malini.
She further added, “Of course, it affected me that people were talking about his name. He probably doesn’t even know that there was a whole drama and now suddenly everybody if like, ‘Ok whatever’. But he also got a lot of love for the fact that people were so interested in him. I was like, ‘But why? Because you don’t even know him, he is so small’. So I feel that now he will slowly understand and is understanding the whole culture of the fact that people follow him or he is being clicked.”
Saif was quite calm and relaxed about it though. “He was like, ‘We need to be calm and we need to be sure.’ So I’m happy we had each other to discuss that. That’s also the reason why I share a lot on Instagram but yet I don’t share a lot on Instagram. I’m happy to be accessible to my fans for what they need to see. But there’s also a side because of everything I’ve been through I’m always gonna be a little away.”
Kareena added that they keep reminding Taimur that he also has to do something important and worthwhile in life. So far, he’s getting attention and love because his parents have done something.
On work front, Kareena was last seen in ‘The Buckingham Murders’.
