On November 14, 2024, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary. Their love story began on the sets of ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela’. During an appearance at the India Today Conclave in 2019, Ranveer revealed that he knew Deepika was the woman he wanted to start a family with just six months into their relationship.
When discussing his love story with Deepika, Ranveer shared, “It was a breeze. Six months into our relationship, I knew she was the one. And, this was the one I want to marry and get old with and be the mother of my children. I nurtured it, cultivated it. She took her time to come around. It was a matter of time. I wanted her.”
During the same event, he also spoke about supporting Deepika through her battle with depression. He said, “There are phases in every relationship. If your focus is to make it work regardless of any issues, then you do it. As a couple, we have seen each other in every phase. I have seen her through different phases. She once went into this unprecedented stratosphere of stardom and post 2013, I started dating her before that. I have seen a lot of growth and evolution. We have grown together.”
He further added, “It is a matter of being patient and sensitive and having that empathy. She is the warmest, nicest, all-consuming magic soul in the world. I am the luckiest guy in the world.”
