Diwali is considered to be the festival of lights, and this year it was also a festival for cinegoers, as multiple films across languages released and thoroughly entertained the audience. Amongst the many films, there were three films that got major love from the audience – one was Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again, another was Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, and third was Sivakartikeyan and Sai Pallavi’s Amaran.

All three films had a fantastic first week, and it was the second week collections that added more charm to them. During the weekdays of the second week, it looked that a small Tamil film Amaran which is based on the life of Major Mukund Vardarajan would beat third instalments of Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, but just like the last twist in the tale, it is Kartik Aaryan’s film which went on to become the highest money spinner of the week.

Rohit and Ajay’s Singham Again minted only Rs 47.50 crore in second week, taking it’s total collection to Rs 220.50 crore, while Amaran minted Rs 57.15 crore in second week and took its total collection to Rs 172 crore. And Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 earned Rs 57.85 crore in second week , thus taking its overall collection to Rs 216.10 crore.
