Sunny Deol is seeing a resurgence in his career post the success of Gadar 2, he is currently shooting for Lahore 1947 which sees him teaming up with Rajkummar Santoshi after Ghayal, Ghatak and Damini. The film is being produced by Aamir Khan. He also recently announced that he is part of the sequel to his 1997 superhit film Border which saw him in the role of Major Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri .The sequel is being produced by JP Dutta along with Bhushan Kumar and Kishan Kumar.
Post the announcement, a clip of Sunny Deol’s conversation with Youtuber Ranveer Allahbadia has gone viral. In the video Sunny Deol is asked about his favourite scene from Border and he said, “ There was this very nice scene, unfortunately it didn’t make it to the film. In that scene after the war is over… I go to the temple which is there in the battlefield and there I see all my soldiers sitting and I’m telling them that I will go and complete all their pending works like getting your roof repaired or I will go and meet your mother as for me they are all there. I also tell them that where they are now, that is heaven and there are no wars there… I used to cry when I used to read the scene.But unfortunately it was cut.”
Border had gone on to become one of the biggest hits of the year having sold more than 3.5 crore tickets. It had a stellar cast of Sunny Deol, Akshaye Khanna, Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, Pooja Bhatt, Tabu and many more.
