Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for his next film, reportedly titled ‘King.’ Recently, a leading portal reported that SRK, Siddharth, and Sujoy have roped in Abhishek Bachchan to play the antagonist in the film.
Now, as per the latest report by Pinkvilla, Abhay Verma has come on board to play a pivotal role in ‘King’. The report revealed that Abhay Verma, known for his performance in ‘Munjya‘, has been cast in a key role in the action-packed thriller ‘King’.
The report stated that Abhay’s impressive performance in ‘Munjya’ has led to an influx of offers, culminating in his selection for a pivotal role in ‘King’ alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan. The report further added that Abhay is thrilled to be part of this major feature film, though character details remain undisclosed for now.
It has been reported that with the script finalized and shooting locations selected both in India and abroad, the production team is now focused on finalizing the ensemble cast to join Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, and Abhishek Bachchan. The aim is to begin filming by November 2024.
‘King’ will reportedly be directed by Sujoy Ghosh, known for his hit thrillers like ‘Kahaani’, ‘Badla’ and ‘Jaane Jaan’. Although Suhana Khan made her Bollywood debut with Zoya Akhtar’s Archies’, ‘King’ will mark her debut on the big screen.
