This film festival, taking place in multiple cities, will honour Kareena’s remarkable career by featuring some of her most praised and popular performances on the big screen once more.
This is the first time a female actor in India will have a film festival dedicated to her, following only Dilip Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan. A trailer for the festival was released, featuring clips from Kareena’s iconic roles, such as Poo from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Geet from Jab We Met, and Chameli. Kareena Kapoor began her acting career with JP Dutta’s Refugee in 2000. Since then, she has featured in over 50 films, including Chameli, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Omkara, Jab We Met, Heroine, 3 Idiots, Kurbaan, Udta Punjab, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and Laal Singh Chaddha. She will next appear in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again alongside Ajay Devgn.
