When asked about Tiger’s current career struggles and if he needs to make drastic changes, Ahmed told Siddharth Kannan that the audience’s disappointment is valid. However, he praised Tiger’s dedication and work ethic. “Usually, people say, ‘You have to work hard, but for Tiger you have to say, ‘Mehnat mat kar!’ Now what advice would you give him? He comes on time, he has got no problem on sets, he will do whatever you ask him to. Ek actor ko kya chahiye? Does he have a body? Yes. Looks? Yes. Can he dance? Yes. Can he do action? Yes. Acting? Usko kaunsi Ardh Satya karni hai, ya Garam Masala jaisi art film karni hai,” he said.
The filmmaker added, “He does commercial films. This is what is called learning. Every hero has gone through this journey, and everyone learns this way. He will bounce back next year, because this is a phase every actor goes through, there’s no reason to panic. Tiger Shroff is just one turn away.”

Reflecting on the performance of Baaghi 3, Ahmed mentioned that it had the biggest opening of 2020 before the pandemic cut its run short. He explained that when the promos were out, people were predicting a golden jubilee film. They were confident, but COVID hit India just before the release. Despite this, the film still did Rs 90 crore in six days.
“But I was hurt and depressed for the first time. Tiger was broken, because we had worked extremely hard. What soothes me though, is the fact that it was the highest opener of 2020 despite COVID restrictions and would have had a great run had the pandemic not broken its knees,” Ahmed added.
While Heropanti 2 was a washout, Tiger Shroff is set to make a special appearance in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, the third installment of the Ajay Devgn-led cop action series, which is gearing up for a Diwali release.
