Bhojpuri film actress Akshara Singh has become the latest celebrity to receive a death threat over a phone call, with the caller demanding a ransom of Rs 50 lakh. The caller has warned the actress of dire consequences if the payment is not made.
In response to the alarming threat, Akshara promptly filed an FIR in Patna regarding the threat. In recent days, several other Bollywood actors have also been targeted with similar death threat calls, following Baba Siddiqui’s shocking death.
According to reports, Akshara Singh received calls from two separate mobile numbers between 12:20 and 12:21. Upon answering, she was met with abusive and threatening language from the caller, who demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh. The caller warned of serious consequences if the payment was not made.
Meanwhile, the police have initiated an investigation into the mobile numbers provided. Prashant Kumar Bhardwaj, the in-charge of Danapur Police Station, assured that action would be taken swiftly on Akshara Singh’s complaint. Authorities are working to identify the accused and ensure they are brought to justice.
On the other hand, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, who have previously faced similar threats, now have Akshara Singh joining their ranks in dealing with the unsettling reality of being targeted by criminal elements. This alarming situation has sparked public concern and prompted swift police intervention.
For the unversed, Akshara began her career in the Bhojpuri film industry with the movie ‘Satyamev Jayate’, starring alongside Ravi Kishan. Since then, she has appeared in several successful films, including ‘Satya, Tabadla’, and ‘Maa Tujhe Salaam’.
