Akshay Kumar, who is gearing up for the release of his Friday release ‘Sarfira‘, opened up about his acting process, particularly during an emotional scene in ‘Sarfira’ where his character, Vir Mhatre, loses his father. Reflecting on the scene, Akshay revealed that he drew from his personal experience of losing his own father, Hari Om Bhatia, to bring authenticity to his performance.
In a recent interview with Galatta Plus, Akshay said, “I don’t use glycerin to cry, I use my own emotions to cry. When you see the film, I’m really crying,” Akshay said, emphasizing the genuine nature of his tears in the film. The actor further explained how he remained immersed in the emotional state even after the director, Sudha Kongara, called for a cut. “I know in the back of my mind that she’s called cut, but it’s very difficult to bring it back (to reality),” Akshay shared.
Meanwhile, the trailer for the Bollywood remake has not impressed the audiences who are saying that Akshay Kumar cannot match with the acting of the Tamil superstar Surya. ‘Sarfira’ also stars Radhikka Madan and Paresh Rawal. It is a remake of Kongara’s acclaimed Tamil film, ‘Soorarai Pottru.’
