Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein earns over RS 5 crore in third week | Hindi Movie News Filmymeet

Despite a string of underperforming films in Akshay Kumar’s post-pandemic phase, his latest release, Khel Khel Mein, is showing resilience at the box office, holding steady against the Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-led Stree 2 as it concludes its third week. The film earned over Rs 5 crore during its third week, pushing its total collection past Rs 30 crore. With postponement of Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency and next big film releasing only on 13th September- Kareena Kapoor Khan’s The Buckingham Murders, Khel Khel Mein would be having a good ride to the bank.

On the third Friday, the film earned Rs 65 lakh, with Saturday collections jumping to Rs 1.1 crore, and on Sunday, the collections reached Rs 1.35 crore, with Monday numbers dropping to Rs 55 lakh, and showing a jump on Tuesday, to collect Rs 60 lakh and staying steady on Wednesday to collect the same amount. Thursday, on the other hand, saw a small dip to earn Rs 53 lakh as per early estimates by Sacnilk, thus taking the third week collection to Rs 5.68 crore, just 17 % drop from its second week collection of Rs 6.85 crore. The overall collection of the film now stands at Rs 31.88 crore.
Akshay Kumar will next be seen in Singham Again during Diwali. His next film was supposed to be Sky Force,releasing on October 2nd, but it has been postponed to early next year. Beyond that, his lineup includes Welcome to the Jungle, Jolly LLB 3, and The Untold Story of C. Sankaran Nair. Additionally, reports suggest he has joined forces with Siddharth Anand for a film directed by Milan Luthria.
Khel Khel Mein, directed by Mudassar Aziz, features a stellar cast that includes Fardeen Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, Vaani Kapoor, Pragya Jaiswal, and Aditya Seal.
