According to Mid-Day, the ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ director has penned a script for Alia Bhatt, which is focused on a powerful female lead character. Reportedly, the role is tailor-made for Alia, and the storyline revolves around the themes of women’s empowerment and resilience.

Even though there has been no official confirmation regarding the same, it would be an interesting thing to watch the talented Alia Bhatt under the direction of Nag Ashwin.
On the other hand, Alia Bhatt’s recent outing was with the action drama film ‘Jigra,’ which was directed by Vasan Bala. The movie received mediocre reviews from the audiences.
ETimes review for ‘Jigra’ reads, “The premise had immense potential to portray the journey of a sister who makes morally questionable decisions and takes on a foreign land’s staunch system. However, what should have set the viewer up for an engaging and awe-inspiring ride soon turns out to be chaotic. Written by Bala and Debashish Irengbam, the story becomes one-dimensional, and the narrative focuses more on stylized action than substance. Also, a parallel prison break plot only adds to the complexity. Satya’s chain of action to take on the bullies becomes repetitive.”
On the other hand, Alia Bhatt has the most-awaited film ‘Alpha’ in the pipeline. The movie comes under the Spy universe.
