However, Alia realized that there was no ‘quick fix’ to Shaheen’s depression. It was a gradual process. Alia revealed that Shaheen was clinically diagnosed with depression at a young age, and she expressed deep admiration for how her sister has managed to live with the condition, powering through life. While Alia acknowledges Shaheen’s strength, her focus now is on providing support by simply being present, listening, and not expecting immediate responses. She emphasized the importance of being there and hearing her sister out whenever needed. “She has been living with it for a very long time, moving and powering through life. I have great admiration for the way she does it, but now my response to her is that I just want her to be able to talk to me,” she added.
On the work front, Alia Bhatt’s latest film, ‘Jigra‘, hit theaters yesterday (October 11), and she is now gearing up for the release of ‘Alpha’. Directed by Shiv Rawail, it also features Sharvari and is set to release on December 25, 2025. She will also collaborate with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for ‘Love & War’, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
