Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi starrer drama movie ‘Amaran’ has been performing well at the box office. The film was released on October 31 and on the ninth day since its release it made over Rs 7 crore in all Indian languages.
As per a report by Sacnilk, in just nine days, the film has grossed over an estimated Rs 121.85 crore in India alone, with early estimates suggesting a remarkable Rs 7 crore added on its ninth day.
The box office performance of ‘Amaran’ has been popular, particularly in Tamil Nadu and Telugu-speaking regions. On November 8, the film recorded an overall Tamil occupancy rate of 37.36%, with morning shows at 21.74%, afternoon shows at 31.87%, evening shows at 40.68%, and night shows peaking at 55.14%. The Telugu occupancy was also strong at approximately 28.95%.Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, ‘Amaran’ is a biographical action drama that tells the inspiring story of Major Mukund Varadarajan, an Indian Army officer who was posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra for his bravery during a counterterrorism operation in Kashmir. Sivakarthikeyan plays the lead role of Major Mukund, while Sai Pallavi portrays his wife, Indhu Rebecca Varghese. The film has been praised for its engaging narrative and strong performances by the leads.
Reportedly the film has been made over a budget of Rs 120 crores and as the reports suggest is closing up to mint Rs 200 crore globally soon if it keeps on performing well at the box office.
