Seems like there is no stop for the Sivakarthikeyan starrer drama movie ‘Amaran’ at the box office.

As per the Sacnilk website, ‘Amaran’ has collected Rs 114.60 crores from India in 8 days and on day 8 the movie has collected Rs 5.50 crores as per the early estimates by the website.

Amaran | Song – Por Veeran (Lyrical)

The movie had an overall Tamil occupancy of 29.44 percent on November 7, Thursday with Morning shows at 22.09 percent, evening shows at 32.10 percent, and night shows at 35.48 percent.
‘Amaran’ had an overall 31.47 percentage Telugu occupancy on November 7 with morning shows at 25.08 percent, afternoon shows, evening shows, and nights shows at 32.20 percent, 27.12 percent and 41.48 percent respectively.
Starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi in the lead, ‘Amaran’ is an emotional drama movie that revolved around te real life story of late Major Mukund Varadharajan.
Etimes score for the Sivakarthikeyan starrer is 3.5 out of 5 and average user ratings stand at 3.9 out of 5. Our review read, “It goes without saying that Sai Pallavi is good at emoting what her character’s feeling; she always is. In the film, she plays a Malayali from Trivandrum, and even her good emoting cannot make up for the bad Malayalam she speaks. As an actor, she isn’t miscast for the part, but, considering how much Malayalam she speaks in the film, they could have focused more on perfecting her pronunciation. Even during a tearjerker moment, where Sai gives her all as a performer, her Malayalam pronunciation acts as an obvious distraction. This also goes to show how much Tamil mainstream cinema doesn’t care when it comes to casting its female actors. In a large chunk of commercial films, they cast a Malayali or a North Indian as the female lead who is supposed to be from Tamil Nadu, but when it comes to casting a Malayali who speaks a lot of Malayalam, they cast someone who isn’t fluent in the language.”
