The blockbuster success of ‘Gadar 2‘ starring Sunny Deol is mesmerizing audiences, but what happened behind the scenes revealed an interesting incident about the climactic plot of ‘Gadar 2’ by actress Ameesha Patel. Ameesha Patel, who reprised her role as Sakina in the much-awaited sequel of ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha,’ revealed that a very important change was made to the climax without her knowledge by director Anil Sharma.
When a fan reached out to Ameesha on X (formerly Twitter), she replied, “In the final scene, the original intention was that your Sakina would kill the villain.”. However, the scene was shot differently, and she was unaware of the change. Addressing the matter, the actress wrote, “Yes, Sakina was told that she would be killing the villain by the director, but the climax shoot happened minus my knowledge. Let bygones be bygones. Anil Ji is family, and he’s aware of this. I’m sure he too feels bad now. Gadar 2 already created history. Time to move ahead.”
Directed by Anil Sharma, Gadar 2 released on August 11, 2023, and proved to be a monstrosity hit, more so with the return of Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel as Tara Singh and Sakina. The film revitalized that magic of their pairing, which was indeed iconic in the 2001 classic Gadar: Ek Prem Katha.
