At times, he also indulges the audience in snippets from his career and life in the film industry making the quiz show unique and loved. In the latest episode, the megastar made a contestant happy by performing a dialogue from the iconic film Sholay.
The contestant, Kishor Aher, was asked a question regarding a film featuring Ayushmann Khurrana. While the contestant could not answer it without using his lifeline, he went on to share how he loved the movie Sholay. Kishor told Amitabh Bachchan, “Sholay is my father’s favourite film. When I was a kid, my father and I used to watch that film. I like Sholay a lot and it’s evergreen for us.” Following this, the audience and Kishor requested Amitabh Bachchan to deliver a dialogue from the blockbuster film. The actor gave in to the demand and delivered the famous dialogue, “Tumhara naam kya hai, basanti? (What is your name basanti?).” Amitabh’s wonderful gesture won the hearts of the audience and Kishor who cheered for him loudly.
The 1975 film Sholay with Dharmendra, Sanjeev Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Jaya Bachchan, and Amjad Khan in key roles is an all-time blockbuster. The legendary film directed by Ramesh Sippy is remembered for its action, drama and iconic characters.
Meanwhile, Kaun Banega Crorepati is going strong with a fair share of celebrities gracing the hotseat. In an upcoming episode, Aamir Khan and his son Junaid Khan will join KBC 16 as contestants. In the promo shared by the channel, Aamir is seen asking Amitabh, “Mere paas ek super duper sawaal hai (I have a super duper question).” Aamir asked, “Jab Jaya ji shooting pe jaati thi, kisi aur hero k saath, woh kaunsa hero tha jiska naam sunke aapko takleef hoti thi aur jealous hojaate the (When Jaya ji went to shooting with some other hero, who was that one hero whose name would bother you and make you feel jealous).” Amitabh Bachchan looked surprised at the question while Junaid was seen smiling, sitting beside his father.
Both Aamir and Junaid would be part of a special episode commemorating Amitabh Bachchan’s birthday on October 11.
