After the recent gun misfire accident involving Govinda, his phone and those of his associates have been constantly buzzing with concerned calls.
Amitabh Bachchan, his ‘Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan’ co-star, reached out to Govinda’s wife, Sunita, for updates on his health.
The actor’s manager, Shashi Sinha, said, “Bachchan saab has been messaging Sunita bhabhi to get updates on Govinda’s health. My phone has been continuously ringing as most of his friends and colleagues are reaching out to me to know about his health. We are very overwhelmed by the love and affection we are receiving from the film industry.”Sajid Nadiadwala also visited Govinda and spent about two hours with the actor. Sinha mentioned, “Quite a few of his actresses, like Ramya, Rambha, and Khushboo, have called me too.”
Govinda reportedly told media that it happened early in the morning, around 4:45-5:00 a.m., while he was getting ready to leave for a show in Kolkata. He described how the revolver accidentally fell and went off, which caused a sudden shock and a lot of blood, leaving him stunned by what had happened.
He added that after the incident, he decided not to involve anyone else to avoid creating any trouble. Instead, he recorded some videos and was quickly taken to Dr. Agarwal, who then accompanied him to the hospital for treatment.
When asked why he had a loaded revolver, the Naseeb actor admitted that he can be somewhat carefree and didn’t think much of it at the time. He explained that while getting ready in the morning, he thought everything was fine, but he now emphasizes the importance of being cautious. He hopes others can learn from his experience and avoid similar incidents, stating, “I’m a bit carefree by nature. I felt nothing was wrong.”
