‘Fear Was…’: Nag Ashwin Gets Candid On Filming Kalki 2898 I PRABHAS I DEEPIKA I AMITABH

In an exclusive interview with ETimes, Nag Ashwin opens up about his equation with Mr Bachchan. He shares that he hasn’t grown up on watching his films like one generation before him, but he did see a lot of the superstar’s movies. He said , “Maybe I didn’t grow up watching his films as obsessively as maybe a generation before mine. But he’s definitely a massive hero, and I have seen a lot of his films. And when I wrote Ashwathama, one thing for sure was I could only see him and nobody else. Maybe it was an Indian version of our Gandalf and I could only see him.”
“Only he could do justice because it required that depth and melancholy of the act and that action. There’s nobody who could pull everything together. So I am glad he agreed” he added.
Nag also revealed if he changed anything as far as action is concerned keeping in mind that the Big B is 81 years old! He said, “ We worked around his safety and other things first. But he would give it everything and sometimes even more than we would ask for.”
