Navya Naveli Nanda, the granddaughter of Amitabh Bachchan and the daughter of Shweta Bachchan Nanda and businessman Nikhil Nanda, recently addressed the trolling she faced after her admission to IIM-Ahmedabad and how she manages negativity and feedback on social media.
When asked about the backlash, Navya told India Today that social media has provided a platform for many people to have a voice, especially those who previously lacked such reach.She expressed her gratitude for being part of one of the world’s finest institutions, saying she felt fortunate to receive higher education under the guidance of exceptional professors.
She said that if she sees herself as working for others, she shouldn’t be upset by their opinions. She added that feedback is important because it helps her become a better person, entrepreneur, and Indian.

“I accept that I come from a very different lived reality. People will have something to say about that. I don’t give a lot of thought to what people say negatively; I use it to do the best I can do in my journey,” Navya added.
A few weeks ago, Navya shared her excitement about getting enrolling at IIM-Ahmedabad, “Dreams do come true! Home for the next two years… with the best people and faculty! BPGP MBA Class of 2026.”
While some questioned her enrollment, many fans defended her online. Last month, Navya celebrated the legacy of her great grandfather HP Nanda. She shared several pictures from the 80th anniversary celebrations of the Indian multinational conglomerate, Escorts Kubota Limited.
HP Nanda was the founder of Escorts Kubota Limited which manufactures tractors, automotive components, railway equipment, and construction and material handling equipment. The company is currently headed by Navya’s father Nikhil Nanda.
