Ananya Panday is one of the actresses who is known to speak her heart out on various subjects without any hesitation. The ‘Call Me Bae’ star recently opened up about the stressing issue of deepfake technology that created distasteful morphed videos of many celebrities. Stars like Aamir Khan, Alia Bhatt, Rashmika Mandanna, Ranveer Singh, and more have fallen prey to this technology, and anyone can be targeted by it with much ease.
The actress mentioned that this matter cannot be taken lightly. Especially when it comes to celebrities, their faces, voices and a lot of personal data are out in public and thus, they become easy prey. It is time that the Government formulates certain regulations to keep the matter in check.
Speaking to PTI, the actress mentioned, “It’s very scary. As public figures, our faces and voices are out there. (So) I don’t know how much we can safeguard. I think it will have to come from regulations by the government, that’s probably the only solution.”
Ananya Panday is also doing a movie that revolves around AI and its impact on the world. On October 4, her film ‘CTRL’ will be released on Netflix. The movie’s plot shows that Ananya gives control of her life to an AI and asks it to ease her ex since she found him cheating on her. She thought giving control of her life to AI might bring her some peace and ease; however, the world around her changes, and it changes at 360 degrees with the invasion of AI. What exactly happens will be unveiled once the movie is out.
Alongside Ananya, the movie stars Vihaan Samat, Devika Vatsa, Sucheta Trivedi, and more in key roles. The movie has been written and directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and Avinash Sampath with dialogues penned by Sumukhi Suresh.
