In honor of the veteran fashion designer Rohit Bal, who is affectionately known as Gudda, actor Ananya Panday wore a custom salwar suit that he had designed for her mother Bhavana Pandey 21 years ago. Bal passed away on November 1 following a heart attack. He was 63-year-old.
Ananya Panday recently attended her cousin’s wedding and looked beautiful as she opted for a salwar suit, worn by her mother 21 years ago. The actor shared a string of stunning pictures in the ensemble. Along with the post, she wrote, ” BriDEEEEEE @deeyashroff obsessed with my sister getting married but also not ready to let go of her yet but also very excited to have a brother now !! @mihirmadhvani also wearing my moms @rohitbalofficial from 21 years ago! Gudda forever (sic).” Bhavana commented on the post, “It looks great on you !!!!!.”
The last celebrity to walk for Rohit Bal, who was ill at that time, was Ananya Panday. Sharing photos from the event in October, the actor wrote, “Walking for and with @rohitbalofficial what a fashion dream filled with so much emotion and it’s always fun to be back with my family @lakmeindia @lakmefashionwk (sic).”
Due to problems from his pre-existing heart issue, Rohit Bal was taken to the intensive care unit at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram in November 2023. He had been dealing with this condition since 2023. The fashion designer resumed work earlier this year in spite of these health issues, and last month he presented his latest collection at Delhi’s Lakme India Fashion Week. When he stumbled on the ramp during the show, supporters began to worry about his well-being.
As for Ananya Panday, the actor was recently seen in the OTT series ‘Call Me Bae’ and OTT film ‘CTRL’. She also made a brief appearance in ‘Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives’. She will be next seen in the film, ‘Chand Mera Dil’, which was announced by Karan Johar on November 7. The actor will star opposite ‘Kill’ fame Lakshya.
