They say once a heart is broken, it is hard to collect all the pieces, and even if you do so, the cracks don’t heal easily. This is perhaps what Angelina Jolie felt when she and Brad Pitt parted ways in 2016. After their split, Brad Pitt moved on, as he found love in jewelry designer Ines De Ramon in late 2022. However, Jolie remained single, and to date, she hasn’t been romantically involved with anyone. According to the latest reports, she is simply terrified to get hurt again
“There’s a reason Angelina is still single, and it’s not for a lack of men lining up to date her. Fact is, she keeps them all at a distance because she’s so terrified of getting hurt again the way she did with Brad,” said a source to In Touch Weekly.
For the unversed, Angelina and Brad crossed paths for the first time in 2005, when they collaborated on the movie ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith.’ Back then, Brad was still married to Jennifer Aniston. Soon Aniston and Pitt announced their split, and the latter continued his relationship with Angelina Jolie. After dating, in 2014, the couple got married in a private ceremony at their estate, Château Miraval. Just two years later in 2016 Angelina and Brad parted ways citing irreconcilable differences as the reason.
“He’s moved on, but she’s frozen. Unless she finds a way to heal, the scars of their toxic relationship may prevent her from ever moving on. Before she met Brad, she was so fearless and very quick to let love in, but these days she’s the complete opposite. She just refuses to allow herself to be vulnerable, and it’s obvious that her trust in men has been destroyed by what she went through with Brad,” the source added.
Earlier, speculations were being made that Angelina is allegedly in a relationship with British rapper Akala. These speculations rose from their multiple public spottings. However, according to People, they are just close friends. “They all work together. Angelina remains focused on her family and is not dating at this time,” a source stated.
