Arjun Rampal had to alter his travel plans due to a major disruption in Microsoft’s cloud services on July 19. He told ANI that he was forced to book a new flight to adjust to the unforeseen situation.
He mentioned that the servers were down and he was unsure of the cause. He also noted that he had a ticket with another airline and would be using that instead.
On Friday, a major outage in Microsoft’s cloud services caused widespread flight delays across India, affecting key airports in Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Pune, and Mumbai.The disruption impacted booking and check-in processes for airlines such as IndiGo, Akasa Airlines, and SpiceJet.

The outage extended beyond aviation, impacting banks, telecom companies, and TV and radio broadcasters. It was linked to a global instance of the blue screen of death error on Windows workstations, causing significant operational disruptions across various industries.
