Congratulations are in order for Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, as the couple has tied the knot with a registered marriage at their Bandra home. While family members have been pouring in at their residence, friends have also gathered. Bibbojaan aka Aditi Rao Hydari, who shared the frame with Sonakshi in ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’, was spotted arriving at the wedding venue.
Aditi rolled into Sonakshi’s residential building in a plush car, accompanied by fiancé and actor Siddharth. While Aditi was among the first to arrive for Sonakshi’s nuptials, it remains to be seen if the rest of ‘Heeramandi’ cast makes it for the celebration or not. Manisha Koirala, who played the pivotal role of Mallikajaan in the series, had sent congratulatory gifts for Sonakshi before as she will skip the wedding bash due to prior engagement.
After dating for a few years, Sonakshi and Zaheer decided to get hitched on June 23, after Shatrughan Sinha’s election campaign was wrapped. Ahead of the big day, Sonakshi was seen attending a pooja ritual at her residence Ramayana with her mother. The couple also hosted a Mehendi ceremony.
Speaking about the wedding, Sonakshi’s maternal uncle Pahlaj Nihalani had told ETimes, “Sonakshi is her parents’ most favourite and is their weakness and strength. Everyone has the right to choose their partner, and I also believe in it. Shatruji is a broad-minded person, and he is very happy. Everyone who knows Sonakshi knows she is very understanding and down to earth.”
Salman Khan, who had launched Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal in Bollywood, has been invited for the wedding celebration at Bastian in Mumbai. The actor not just shares a strong connection with Sonakshi, but has known Zaheer’s father too since years.
