During a conversation, Priyanka shared how she shared a room in a PG for months due to the lack of income.
Priyanka Chahar Choudhary rose to prominence with the TV show Uddariyaan followed by her successful stint in Bigg Boss 16. The actress who initially started her career as a model went on to feature in several Punjabi music albums, and then the Hindi television industry. Now, she is a household name with a sizable fan following. But, there was a time when Priyanka could not afford to pay her house rent. In a recent conversation, the actress recalled her struggle days, making some shocking revelations.
During a conversation with Instant Bollywood, Priyanka took a trip down memory lane and shared how she shared a room in a PG for months owing to the lack of enough funds. The actress shared, “In the beginning, I could not afford to pay the house rent and stayed in a PG where I used to share the room with another girl.” Further divulging the hurdles in the initial days of her career, she added, “It was hard for me as I did not know whom to ask for work. But, one of my roommates, who was also in the acting profession, shared the contact details of two casting directors and I called them asking for opportunities.”
As the conversation proceeded, Priyanka recalled doing print shoots in several cities which helped her sort income sources. However, she did not let the struggles deviate from her goal which was to make a career in acting. She concluded, “That’s how it happened. It just happened.”
Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, post her Bigg Boss stint, has been a part of several music videos. Besides her professional life, she keeps grabbing attention for her dating rumours with Ankit Gupta. The duo met on the sets of Udaariyan and went on to appear in Bigg Boss together. In the show, their camaraderie and unique chemistry led fans to speculate that the duo share a romantic relationship. However, both Priyanka and Ankit continue to refute the claims clarifying that they both are friends.
