Set in the ancient, mythical land of Arthdal during the Bronze Age, this epic drama unfolds with Eun Seom (Song Joong Ki), a young man burdened by a prophecy foretelling disaster for his homeland. Driven by a desire to protect him, Eun Seom’s mother endures numerous trials before choosing to flee to a new land. Despite their hopes for a fresh start, Eun Seom remains an outcast due to his differences from the local inhabitants. Meanwhile, Ta Gon (Jang Dong Gun), a celebrated war hero, has transformed Arthdal into a thriving city and now aspires to become its first king. In contrast, Tan Ya (Kim Ji Won), destined to be the revered Great Mother of the Wahan Tribe, struggles with her role and the ominous absence of prophetic dreams since Eun Seom’s arrival. Adding complexity, Taealha (Kim Ok Bin), the ambitious daughter of the Hae tribe’s leader, harbors grand aspirations of her own.
