Veena Nagda is a well-known celebrity mehendi artist who has done mehendi for many Bollywood brides – right from Karisma Kapoor to Twinkle Khanna, Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone to Alia Bhatt. In a recent interview, Veena has spilled the beans on her experience of different weddings of B-town. One vividly remembers how Alia chose a very minimalistic mehendi design for her wedding, which was simple yet to beautiful.
Talking about her experience of working with Alia Bhatt, Veena Nagda said that the actress loves mehendi and is always very happy every time she’s getting mehendi design on her hand.She added during an interview with Pinkvilla Hindi Rush, “I’m working with Alia Bhatt since ‘Student Of the Year‘. That time Manish Malhotra told me to keep it a secret because Alia was just being launched and nobody knew who is the heroine of the movie. Since then, I’ve always done mehendi for her, for every movie, ad shoots.”
She further added that Alia had loved a round minimalistic mehendi design which she did for her during a shoot for a commercial. She did the same design for her own wedding with Ranbir Kapoor “She loves the round design hence, we always do it for her.”
Ranbir and Alia got married in April 2022 at their house in Mumbai. For those not in the know, Alia was seen with her wedding mehendi during the shoot of ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani‘ as well. Alia shot the wedding sequence for the film, just a week after her own wedding. So, they just made the mehendi dark on the same design.
During this chat, Veena added that Deepika had promised her during the shoot of ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ that she would call her during her own wedding. She kept her promise, said the mehendi artist.
