Chiranjeevi celebrates 50 years in the film industry, sharing a nostalgic college photo and reflecting on his early acting days. Chiranjeevi, the legendary actor of Telugu cinema, recently celebrated a significant milestone as he marked 50 years in the film industry. Known for his immense contributions and popularity since the 90s, Chiranjeevi continues to dominate the box office and remains a beloved figure among fans. The ‘Indra’ actor shared a throwback photo of himself from his college days.
Chiranjeevi took to Instagram to share a nostalgic throwback photo from his college days. The black-and-white image features a young Chiranjeevi sporting stylish sunglasses and a light mustache. In the post, he reminisced about his early acting experiences, mentioning his first drama based on “Rangasthalam,” written by Kona Govinda Rao.
He wrote in Telugu which loosely translates in English as, “Resignation’..In Y N M College Narsapur. First drama on ‘Rangasthalam’..Kona Govinda Rao’s writing; First recognition as an actor..That is being the Best Actor .. Encouragement beyond measure. 1974 -2024; 50 years of acting departure ..Happiness beyond measure !”

Fans quickly responded to his post with admiration and nostalgia. Comments flooded in, celebrating his legacy and expressing pride in his achievements over the past five decades. A wrote fan wrote, “Boss kuda ma Yn college student anna mata”, and another said, “Appdu hod: ma student Gems andi”
In recognition of his work, earlier this year he was also honoured with the Padma Vibhushan award.
On the work front, Chiranjeevi is currently busy with his upcoming mega socio-fantasy film ‘Vishwambhara‘. Recently the makers released the first teaser of the film, portraying Chiranjeevi as the saviour of a dystopian world.
Initially, the film was announced to hit the big screens on January 10, 2025. However, after his son, Ram Charan’s film ‘Game Changer’ has taken the Sankranti slot the makers are expected to push the film forward.
