‘Deadpool And Wolverine‘ is just days away from hitting the staggering $1 billion mark at the box office after a record-breaking first 5 days at the ticket windows.
The film starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as their iconic comic book characters, has already crossed the $550 million mark globally within just five days of release. According to Variety, the film has amassed $261 million in North America and $284 million internationally, bringing its worldwide total to $545.8 million.
This phenomenal start has set a new record for the biggest R-rated film opening of all time. ‘Deadpool And Wolverine‘ has now set its sights on the $1 billion milestone and is set to become the second movie this year, and only the second R-rated film in history, to achieve this feat.Currently, it ranks as the fifth-highest grossing film globally, trailing behind ‘Inside Out 2’ ($1.5 billion), ‘Dune: Part II’ ($711 million), ‘Despicable Me 4’ ($680 million), and ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ ($567 million).
To become the highest-grossing movie of 2024, it will need to surpass ‘Inside Out 2’, which became the biggest animated movie of all time at $1.508 billion.
