Filmmakers Abbas and Mustan Burmawalla revealed in a coversation with Indian Express that Arbaaz Khan was initially considered for the lead role in Khiladi, but Salim Khan, his father, felt the role wouldn’t be a good fit for him. As a result, Akshay Kumar was approached for the role instead. This story highlights how casting decisions were shaped back in the 90s.
Before casting Shah Rukh Khan in Baazigar, the filmmakers first approached Anil Kapoor, who declined due to the risky nature of the role.
