Diljit Dosanjh had a show in Hyderabad on November 15 and right before the show, he got a notice from the Telangana Government, against singing songs which promote drugs or alcohol. This notice has come based on a representation from a resident of Chandigarh. This notice came after Diljit had sung songs already which promote drugs and alcohol during his live show at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium last month.
Now to abide by the order passed by court, Diljit performed on stage by tweeking the lyrics of his own songs hilariously and also laughing while singing. For example, while singing a song of his, he changed his line, ‘Tainu teri daaru ch pasand aa Lemonade’ to ‘Tenu teri coke ch pasand aa Lemonade’.
The official handle of Diljit’s ‘Dil-Lumanati’ tour shared this video and here’s how the internet reacted.
A user said, “Telangana Government really thought they could water down Diljit’s vibe 🤣 Joke’s on them—he just cracked open a coke and kept the party going! It’s like trying to ban fireworks at Diwali; the celebration doesn’t stop, it just gets louder. Hyderabad might not have deserved Diljit but loved how he did everything without losing his signature touch! 🩷 Love him! ❤️❤️” A person said, “The way he and his team tweaked the lyrics last minute to adhere to the legal guidelines is worth applauding 🫶🫶 he proved that is is Greatest Of All the Times…❤️”
Another user said, “Right in the face of haters 😂Aithe rakh 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥”
As a part of this tour, Diljit has been performing in various cities including Delhi, Jaipur, Hyderabad and many others.
