Dilli Babu Death News: ‘Ratsasan’ producer Dilli Babu passes away at 50 | Filmymeet

Dilli Babu, the Tamil producer, who is popular for bankrolling Vishnu Vishal’s ‘Ratsasan‘, passed away today (Sep 9) morning. Reports indicate that he was 50 years old and took his last breath around 12:30 a.m. His funeral is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on the same day. According to a report from India Today, he was admitted to a private hospital due to an illness, and he had been undergoing treatment for the last few months.However he failed to respond to the treatment and lost his life battle. Dilli Babu‘s sudden demise has shocked the film community, particularly within the Tamil film industry. Dilli Babu’s mortal remains has been brought to his residence in Perungalathur, Chennai.
Dilli Babu was a notable producer in Tamil Nadu, and he has given opportunities to many new directors in Tamil cinema and turned them into leading directors. There were certain expectations on films produced by Dilli Babu’s production house as they produced films of different subjects to hype fans. Upon hearing the tragic news of Dilli Babu’s death, many industry members expressed their condolences and paid their respects to the dedicated producer through social media. Producer SR Prabhu, Dhananjayan, director ARK Saravanan, and a few cinema others shared a post expressing their condolences on Dilli Babu’s demise.
