APJ Abdul Kalam joined the Indian Space Research Organization in the year 1962. He is credited with making India’s first indigenous satellite (SLV III) missile, Kalam ji is considered as the father of India’s missile program.

Death
On July 27, 2015, in the evening time, Dr. Kalam was giving his lecture on the right planet in Shillong, at that time suddenly he suffered a heart attack and fell on the ground while giving the lecture, he was immediately taken to the hospital, where He was declared dead.
