As the Vikrant Massey starrer ‘The Sabarmati Report’ is all set to hit the big screens on November 15, one of the producers, Ektaa Kapoor recently said that she did not seek help from anyone while making the movie and is not associated with any wing.
During the trailer launch event that happened in Mumbai on the last day, Ektaa Kapoor also said that she is not trying to attack any specific religion through the movie. Focusing on the objective of bringing out the truth behind the Godhra incident, the producer said that she is secular and respects all religions.

The release of ‘The Sabarmati Report’ has been the talk of the town as it coincides with the assembly elections in Maharashtra and Ektaa was clear-cut when she said, “I am a Hindu, which means I am secular. I will never comment on any religion because I am a Hindu.”
Regarding censorship, Ektaa said that she is not afraid of anyone and stands firm on the fact that ‘The Sabarmati Report’ is made to bring out the real truth. Ektaa also said during the meet that the movie tries to bring out the unknown facts about the tragic incident and the genesis of it.
With ‘The Sabarmati Report’, the makers are trying to bring out a different perspective of the Godhra train incident that happened in the year 2002, February 27. The accident happened near the Godhra railway station which is situated in Gujarat and the time when Narendra Modi was the chief minister of the state.
