Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi relocate to England ahead of Donald Trump's presidency; netizens speculate Diddy connection

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have reportedly shifted base from the United States and moved to Cotswolds, southwest England. The surprise relocation comes after Donald Trump’s 2024 election win.
According to reports on TMZ, sources close to the couple revealed that the Trump victory was allegedly a ‘major factor’ in their decision. The Cotswolds, although a rural neighbourhood, about two hours from London, has become a haven for high-profile celebrities over the years.
Ellen and Portia will have the likes of David and Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss, Elizabeth Hurley, and even King Charles, who owns Highgrove House in Gloucestershire, in the posh neighbourhood.
The couple’s movie comes months after they purchased the English countryside home early this year, much before the election results came out. However, the report alleges that the Trump victory left the two “very disillusioned” prompting their decision to leave the US immediately.
This confirmation comes after the pair was spotted at a local pub last week, further fuelling rumours that they now have a new residence.
While the relocation is rumoured to be politically motivated, viral speculation and fan-theories that suggest it may be linked to the ongoing investigations into Sean Diddy Combs’ case. Social media users have taken to their handles to post various photos and videos of the many times that Diddy appeared on her chat show where she addressed the musician’s infamous parties several times.

“Ellen knew about Diddy’s parties. Hard to believe that anyone in Hollywood hadn’t heard about what Diddy was doing,” read a tweet.

DeGeneres’ movie to the UK follows the growing trend of celebrities relocating from the US. Stars including Cher, Barbra Streisand, Sharon Stone and Sophie Turner said that they would consider leaving if Trump won the elections.
