In an interview with Faye D’Souza, Farhan stated that his father raised him ‘without a religion’ and also encouraged him to ‘question everything’.He expressed that when one is raised without a religion, one automatically questions everything. He also shared that his father never discouraged him from believing in God, however, he and his siblings imbibed what they saw.
The actor-director also spoke about how his father fostered an environment where logic and scientific evidence were valued. He acknowledged that while many people find comfort in faith, those who do not rely on it might struggle to achieve the same sense of security.
