‘GOAT‘, starring Vijay and directed by Venkat Prabhu, is one of the most eagerly awaited films in Indian cinema, slated for release on September 5. The film, which stands for ‘The Greatest Of All Time’, is generating considerable excitement, with Vijay’s star power set to make a significant impact at the box office. The film, budgeted at approximately Rs 375 crore, is one of Vijay’s most high-profile projects to date.The film’s distribution partners have been confirmed, and ‘GOAT’ has already made impressive strides in its pre-release business. According to Valai Pechu, the film has garnered an impressive Rs 425 crore in pre-release revenue, making it a profitable venture for the producers even before its theatrical release.
Producer Archana Kalpathi confirmed the film’s profitability at the trailer launch event held in Chennai. Despite a quieter buzz compared to Vijay’s previous release, ‘Leo’, ‘GOAT’ has set a new benchmark as the actor’s most successful film in terms of pre-release business.
‘GOAT’ is described as an action-packed entertainer where Vijay plays dual roles as father and son. Venkat Prabhu has promised numerous surprises for the audience, and the film features a star-studded cast including Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jayaram, Mohan, and Premgi Amaren. The music for the film is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, with the fourth single track set to be released soon. Rated U/A by the CBFC, ‘GOAT’ will have a runtime of nearly three hours and the film will be released parallelly in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi languages.
