Govinda was rushed to Criti Care Hospital in Juhu, Mumbai, on Tuesday after suffering an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound to his leg. The former Member of Parliament underwent emergency surgery, and doctors have confirmed that he is now out of danger and recovering well.
After visiting Govinda, his close friend and former Maharashtra Legislative Council member Deepak Sawant spoke to the media outside the hospital.Sawant assured fans, “Govinda is recovering well and is likely to be discharged within the next 24 to 48 hours.” He added, “I’ve just met Govinda ji, and I’m delighted to report that he’s recovering well. His operation was a success, and he’s no longer in danger. He’ll likely be discharged from the hospital within 24 to 48 hours.”
Addressing the nature of the incident, Sawant explained, “It was an unfortunate accidental mishap that occurred this morning. Govinda ji accidentally shot his thigh, injuring his thigh bone. I’ve spoken to him personally, and he’s out of danger. I assure his fans that he’s in good health and recuperating well.”
When asked about the presence of family members during the accident, Sawant mentioned he had no specific details about their whereabouts at the time.
