Chirag Paswan, the Union Minister and leader of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), has firmly closed the door on any potential return to the film industry, humorously attributing his decision to his perceived lack of acting skills.
Earlier in an interview with PTI, Chirag Paswan reflected on his brief Bollywood career, which began with the 2011 film ‘Miley Naa Miley Hum’—a project he describes as a “disaster.”
Reflecting on his brief foray into Bollywood, Paswan acknowledged that his experience there taught him valuable lessons about what not to pursue in life.His experiences in the film industry and his subsequent shift to politics illustrate a journey of self-discovery and commitment to public service. He even humorously remarked that even his former co-star and current Lok Sabha colleague, Kangana Ranaut, would not consider working with him again.
While Chirag Paswan made it clear he will never go back to acting, Kangana Ranaut is balancing both her political and Bollywood career. She will next be seen in ‘Emergency,’ where she portrays former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi. Besides showcasing her acting prowess, Kangana has also directed the movie. However, recently the film has faced a delay in its release, primarily due to criticism from Sikh groups and issues with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
According to India Today, the film has now been granted a U/A certificate by the CBFC, albeit with several modifications. The report reveals that the film’s approval comes with specific stipulations. The filmmakers have been instructed to remove certain scenes and include disclaimers for various historical depictions in the film. A source cited in the report noted, “The CBFC has mandated that the filmmakers add disclaimers regarding the historical events shown in the film.” Despite these adjustments, the new release date for the film has not yet been set.
