What happened in Episode 6?
In episode 6, we see the Lannister army stationed in the Riverlands, delaying an assault until Aemond and Vhagar show up. When Alicent tries to give Aemond advice, Aemond dismisses her from the little council. Supporters of the Greens start to question their loyalty because of what Aemond is doing.
Corlys accepts Rhaenyra’s offer to become the Hand of the Queen. Rhaenyra calls Ser Darklyn to the council meeting after finding that they may share some blood. She wants Darklyn to try to tame and ride one of the dragons in order to strengthen their side. Unfortunately, Ser Darklyn’s attempt to ride with the dragon Seasmoke ends in his death and the dragon’s flight. Rhaenyra begins to lose hope. Daemon, in the meantime, has been having trouble with his visions in Harrenhal. Daemon becomes enraged and snaps at everyone in the castle after having a dream about his deceased brother Viserys and his mother’s funeral. In Vale, a wild dragon has been causing havoc in the vicinity of the Vale by burning and robbing nearby farmers of their sheep, much to Rhaena’s horror.
An unexpected moment comes when Rhaenyra finds herself catching feelings for Mysaria, who has been by her side for a long time, since Daemon is out of reach in the Riverlands. Rhaenyra is reassured by Mysaria that she has complete faith in the queen, and then they kiss. A guard, however, interrupts the intimate moment to deliver the news that Seasmoke has been discovered in the sky with a new rider. Rhaenyra runs outside, terrified that the enemy may have tamed the dragon, and the episode ends.
