Imran Khan has been away from the limelight for a while now. The actor had purposely taken a break and kept himself away from the public eye. Since the last few months, he’s getting back to work and opening up about himself on social media and through interviews. Imran had no qualms about accepting the fact that he was going through depression. He spoke about his mental health to further create awareness and now in a recent interview he’s revealed that it’s now a thing in the family.This is due to the fact that Aamir’s daughter Ira Khan has been advocating about mental health awareness for a very long time.
The ‘Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na’ actor admitted that talking about mental health is now a family thing and him and Aamir Khan actually sit together to do that. “In the past couple of years, at various points, we’ve sat down [and talked]. With Ira starting to really advocate for mental health awareness in the past year and me beginning to emerge back into the public eye and speak about my journey, the joke around home is that we now get together and finally talk about mental well-being, consciousness, and healthy patterns. It’s now a thing. In our family, we’re trying to support each other in our mental health journeys,” said Imran during a chat with Nikhil Taneja’s ‘Be A Man Yaar Season 2’.
Imran had said earliet that he used to feel suicidal at various instances and resorted to therapy to get better.
